NAME            The Modern Argentinean Novel

DESCRIPTION

In this course we will be reading three novels written by Argentinean authors. The literary experience will also provide an enhanced appreciation of Argentina's national politics. We will be learning the nuances of postmodern novels, pondering issues of gender and assimilation, and analyzing the role of family and relationships within each work. In this course, we develop writing skills through brief writing exercises that could later be developed into larger works.

HOW IT WORKS

In our online classroom you will receive a series of lessons with corresponding homework. The course consists in the study of three Argentinean novels, paying special attention to their historical and social context. There will be a forum via a chat room, where students will converse with each other and with their professor. This will maintain our conversation despite the distance or scheduling constraints.
